The Fayette County Varsity Tigers battled to the final inning but came up just short in a 7-6 loss to Cordova on Feb. 23 before falling 10-0 to Jasper on Feb. 26. The Tigers later split a pair of contests on Feb. 28, dropping a matchup to Sipsey Valley before earning a 10-6 win over Winfield.
