Time to apply for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program is a federally funded program administered by the Alabama Dept. of Agriculture and Industries’ Farmers Market Authority Section. It provides seniors with a $50 benefit card to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from certified farmers at farmers markets and farm stands in Alabama. AARP Foundation Tax Aide Service

In Fayette, AARP Tax Aide is offering free tax preparation service for individuals. To take advantage of this service at the Fayette Civic Center, taxpayers will first need to make an appointment. They are available Mondays and Fridays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. starting on Feb. 3, and lasting through the tax season. Annual Miss Berry Pageant to be held

The annual Little Miss Berry Pageant will be Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 at the Berry High School George Traweek Gymnasium at 4 p.m.  Registration forms may be picked up from the Berry High School main office and Berry Elementary School main office.  Please complete the form and return it along with a $20.00 registration fee to the Berry High School main office by January 27, 2025.  No late registrations will be accepted. Pageant admission is $5.00.  Everyone must pay admission except the contestant.
