Pea Ridge Community Church, 705 Pea Ridge Rd., Berry, will have homecoming services Sunday, May 10, at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be at 12 noon. Singers will be the Jeff Long Band. The pastor is Junior Ledlow. Everyone is welcome.
The Fayette County Republicans will meet Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m. at the Fayette Civic Center. The guest speaker will be Jared Hudson, candidate for U.S. Senate. All are welcome to attend.
Kindergarten registration for Fayette Co. Schools will be May 5 - 7. Berry and Hubbertville registration will be from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the school. Fayette kindergarten registration will be held at the Fayette Civic Center. (Please use the rear entrance to access the basement area.)

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is encouraging community members to get active this April through the Move Alabama Community Activity Challenge. The challenge invites individuals and families to add more physical activity to their daily routines and make movement a fun part of everyday life. Participants can pick up a Move Alabama challenge flyer at the Extension office, 650 McConnell Loop, or they can also download the flyer and follow along with others across the state by visiting the Move Alabama Facebook page..
The 2026 Town of Glen Allen spring clean up will be Saturday, April 18 at 8:30 a.m. at town hall. Materials and supplies are furnished by Alabama People Against a Littered State (PALS). Bring gloves and help clean up the community of roadside litter. There will be a cookout luncheon sponsored by community volunteers at noon at the town community center. Sign up in advance as a volunteer no later than Friday, April 3 at the town hall, Hubbertville School or Beth’s Trim and Tan in order to get a free participant t-shirt.
March for Jesus (Jesus Day) will be held Saturday, May 16 at 9 a.m. Biscuits will be available at 8:15 a.m. for early marchers. Please register upon arrival. Balloons will be passed at 8:30 a.m.
The Fayette Co. High School class of 1981 will have their 45th class reunion on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6. If you have not already registered, please do so. There is a fee of $35 per person or $50 per couple. The fee includes dinner on Friday evening at Fayette Civic Center and lunch on Saturday at Fayette Middle School.
