The 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s office and Pickens County Sheriff’s office have consulted with an anonymous donor who has generously made $5,000 available to anyone with information about a burglary reported last year. Firearms were stolen and security equipment was damaged at a camp house on Pickens County Road 13 (Vienna Road) the night of Oct. 30, 2022. “Someone knows who is responsible for this,” said Pickens County Sheriff Jordan Powell. “We hope the reward will serve as an incentive for them to do the right thing and come forward.”
The information must lead to an arrest and conviction for the reward to be collected. “This burglary resulted in a number of weapons now in the hands of criminals in our community,” said 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Andy Hamlin. “This is a public safety concern we’re anxious to resolve before anyone is hurt.” Anyone with information can contact PCSO at (205) 367-2000 or submit a tip at www.pcsoal.org.
