Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care holds Father’s Day event

Friday June 14 the men residents of Fayette Long Term Care were honored and served at the annual LTC picnic. Several pastors from the community of Fayette participated in the event. The residents enjoyed foods prepared by FMC Dietary.

Groups feed hospital, nursing home employees


Pictured are a few of the Fayette Medical Center and Fayette Medical Center Long-Term Care workers as they enjoyed the food provided for them.

The Fayette Medical Center Long-Term Care Family Council and Fayette Garden Club members provided food on Wednesday, March 8 for employees of the Long-Term Care facility and the hospital, in appreciation for the services they provide to the many patients under their care.

 

Berry Clinic holds Grand Opening

A large crowd of DCH personnel, dignitaries and Fayette County citizens attended the open house and ribbon-cutting for the long-awaited reopening of the Berry Clinic. The clinic held its grand reopening on Monday, Feb. 27, and the event was welcomed by the Berry Community as a big step forward in needed healthcare for the area.

 

Council presents tax proceeds to Fayette Medical Center

The Fayette City Council presented the Fayette Medical Center its annual check from the proceeds of the one-half cent sales tax that is earmarked for the facility during its Nov. 7 meeting. The meeting was held one day earlier than usual so that the meeting would not conflict with the general election. Councilwoman Aliska Hughes- Monroe was absent from the meeting.

 

FMC welcomes new surgeon

On Sunday, July 24, DCH’s Fayette Medical Center hosted a welcome reception for Dr. Mark Randall. Dr. Randall is trained in general and laparoscopic surgery and will begin offering services at Fayette Medical Center starting Aug. 1.

 

FMC ranked among ‘World’s Best Hospitals’


Pictured is Fayette Medical Center, named one of the “World’s Best Hospitals” by Newsweek for the third consecutive year.

Fayette Medical Center has agan made Newsweek Magazine’s list of the “World’s Best Hospitals.” This is the third year in a row that the medical facility has been awarded this prestigious honor. Fayette Medical Center has been part of the DCH Health System since 1984, and includes 61 licensed hospital beds and 122 long-term care beds.

The Fayette City Council presented the proceeds for the one-half cent sales tax that is earmarked for capital projects at the Fayette County Hospital and Fayette Long -Term Care facility to the Fayette Medical Center Board on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
