Glen Allen Council honors McCraw

The Glen Allen City Council honored long-time council member Bobbie S. McCraw at their meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 7. She chose not to seek reelection after serving 29 years of continuous service in council seat four. Water woes continue for Glen Allen council

The Glen Allen Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the town Community Center. All council members were in attendance for the monthly meeting, with the exception of Councilwoman Bobbie S. McCraw.

Unofficial election results announced for muncipal elections


Election Results

Unofficial results from Tuesday’s municipal election show close contests in Wards 2, 4 and 5 for seats on the Fayette City Council, with one race heading to a runoff.

In Ward 2, Micky Joe Morgan led with 56 votes (43.08 percent), followed by Ron Hannah with 48 votes (36.92 percent). A runoff between Morgan and Hannah is set for Sept. 23. Other candidates included Amanda Henry and Priscilla Gray, each with 11 votes (8.46 percent); Michael Deane with 3 votes (2.31 percent); and Kyle Cook with no votes.

Hearing held to discuss grant application

A public hearing was held at the Glen Allen Town Community Center on Tuesday, July 1, to discuss the 2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and to review a proposed grant application which the town will be submitting to the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) for consideration. The Glen Allen Town Council met in regular session. Councilman Dustin Youngblood was not in attendance for the monthly meeting. 

Glen Allen holds annual Community Clean-up Day

The Glen Allen Town Council held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 1, at the Town’s Community Center. All councilors were in attendance with the exception of Councilman Joel Isham.
