Fayette Police Chief Danny Jenkins is warning residents about bills labeled as “movie prop money” that may be circulating in the city. A local business received the bill pictured above and reported it to the police department. Residents and business owners are urged to carefully inspect cash before accepting it.
The bill includes phrases such as “For Motion Picture Purposes” along with other markings such as “This Is Not Legal Tender”. Anyone who receives such a bill is asked to contact the Fayette Police Department at (205) 932-5312 or the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at (205) 932-3205.
