Reunion held adhering to COVID-19 restrictions

The descendants of James William Smith and Rebecca Little Smith held their annual Smith - Little Reunion at the Paul Hubbert Pavilion, located on the campus of Hubbertville School, on Saturday, Aug. 1. The reunion was a little different this year, with the attendees practicing social distancing and wearing facial protection due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent restrictions. Although the pandemic kept some of the usual participants from attending this year’s event, a few family members were able to attend for the first time in many years.

Multi-Year FCHS Reunion


The local “C-Plus Band” provided musical entertainment for the more than three-hour multi-year class reunion. A multi-year FCHS reunion, for the years of 1960-82, was held on Sept. 21 on the Fayette County Courthouse lawn. The local "C-Plus Band" provided music for the three-hour event.

 

 

BHS Alumni Association holds reunion

The Berry High School Alumni Association held its 19th annual reunion on Aug. 17. Attendees ranged from the Class of 1943 to the Class of 2019. VictorBonner opened the meeting in prayer. Tracy Fields directed those assembled in singing the Alma Mater with Linda Clark playing the piano.

 

Memories from Dogwood Productions reunion

The former cast and crew of Dogwood Productions held a reunion on Sunday, Aug. 5 at the Fayette Civic Center that brought back many memories of the glory days of the group’s performances. For years, Dogwood Productions held annual performances of “Come Back to God America” and “The Gospel According to Scrooge” that packed the Civic Center. The performers were local and always amazed the audiences by their musical and vocal talents.
