GLENDON "GLEN" RAY COLLINS
A graveside service with military honors for Mr. Glendon “Glen” Ray Collins, age 77 of Berry,was held Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at 2 p.m. from Bethabara Cemetery in Berry.He died Sunday, Jan. 5, at his residence.
After graduating from Berry High School in 1965, Glen was drafted into the Army in 1966. As a sharpshooter and expert marksman, he was awarded the Bronze Star along with several other decorations and medals during his service in Vietnam with the 9th Infantry Division.
Upon returning to Berry, he met Jackie, and they married in June 1968. Glen worked in the mines and retired from industrial construction. While he faced many challenges, he will always be remembered as a dedicated hard worker who loved his family and pets.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Lonnie Collins and Eddie Collins, and his parents, Til V. Collins and Oma Jane Collins.
Glen is survived by his wife, Jackie Collins; son, Scott Collins; daughter, Amanda Collins; brother, Frank Collins; grandchildren, Branndon Collins, Joe Moye, Avery Moye; and great-granddaughter, Hayden Collins.
Pallbearers were Frank Collins, Tommy Pendley, Scott Collins, Branndon Collins, Joe Moye and Riley Stone.
