Williams selected as BHS principal


Dr. Kim Williams was selected as the new principal at Berry High School.

The Fayette County Board of Education voted unanimously during its June 22 meeting to name Dr. Kim Williams as the new principal of Berry High School. All board members were in attendance for the meeting. Dr. Williams is a 1989 graduate of Berry High School, where she was valedictorian of her senior class.

Stowe named principal of large Mississippi high school


Fayette native Braxton Stowe is principal of Ocean Springs High School in Mississippi.

Fayette native and 2005 Fayette County High School graduate Braxton Stowe is 300 miles from his old hometown, but he is solidly embedded in his element - the field of education. Stowe was named as principal of Ocean Springs High School in Mississippi, effective July 1. The school is located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and has approximately 1,900 students in grades nine through 12. Only Tupelo High School has a larger high school enrollment.

 

Madden named District Seven South’s ‘Principal of the Year’

Dr. Jeremy Madden, principal of Fayette County High School, has been named District Seven South High School Principal of the Year. Madden is a 19-year educator who became principal of Fayette County High School in 2011. He attended Russellville City Schools and graduated from Russellville High School in 1993.
