The Fayette City Council approved an ordinance updating the city’s firefighter work schedule, approved several routine business items and discussed changes to the city’s garbage collection notification process during its July 14 meeting. Before the regular meeting began, a scheduled public hearing concerning the possible abatement of a house at 725 First St. S.W. was postponed after City Attorney Dale Lawrence determined the required legal notice had not been properly published.
