ROBERT STEVEN MOORE

A private service for Mr. Robert Steven Moore, age 74, was held Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Nelson  Nelson Funeral Home. Burial followed in Fayette Memorial Gardens. He died Wednesday, April 1, at his residence.
He was born in Tuscaloosa County on July 8, 1951, to Robert and Charlene Moore. He was a graduate of Pickens County High School, Bevill State Community College, and The University of Alabama. He taught for the Fayette County Board of Education for 33 and a half years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Lee Moore and Charlene Beams Moore and brother, Charles Steward Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cynthia Herren Moore; his daughter, Christina (Jeremy) Howton; granddaughter, Josie Christina Perkins; sister, Vanessa Moore Davis; nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Fayette Church of Christ.
