GARA NELL STEWART
Funeral services for Mrs. Gara Nell Stewart, age 80 of Bankston, were held Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at 11 a.m. from Cleveland Church of Christ. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery. Josh Taylor officiated. She died Sunday, Jan. 29, at Fayette Long Term Care.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Stewart; parents, Edward Banks Ellis and Elizabeth Halbrook Ellis; brothers, Edward Lee Ellis and Jimmy Ellis; sisters, Margaret Moore and Voncille Moore.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Hynds (Mike) of Winfield and Teresa Taylor (David) of Fayette; five grandchildren, Jessica Archer (Jeremy), Caleb Hynds (Brooke), Breanna Dean (Caleb), Josh Taylor (Alli) and Justin Taylor (Cheyeanne); and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Caleb Hynds, Josh Taylor, Justin Taylor, Mike Hynds, David Taylor, Caleb Dean and Jeremy Archer.
