LORENE MOORE

Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Moore, age 96 of Fayette,  were held Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, from New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Bro. Marlon Mayfield and Bro. Adam Smith officiated. She died Monday, Jan. 23,  at Walker Rehab in Carbon Hill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sid C. Moore; mother, Nicie Thacker Martin; father, Thomas C. Martin; infant daughter, Barbara Ann Moore; siblings,  Charlie Martin, J.D. Martin, Ollie Martin and Verlie Martin Lollar.
Survivors include a son, Tommy F. Moore (Wanda) of Fayette; daughter, Judy Lowery of Fayette; sister, Willodean Ray of Sugar Grove, Ill.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were nurses and staff at Walker Rehab and Gentiva Hospice.
Active pallbearers were Deacons of New Liberty FWB Church: Ted Sands, Danny Smith, Ray Selman, Vick Selman, C R  Odom, Kip Madison and Nick Madison and Garvin Smith.
