Pictured at right is Chief Deputy Barry Corkren removing components of a meth lab from a mobile home on Mt. Pleasant Rd., while one of the residents, Krystal Gillion looks on. Gillion, along with her mother, Mary Hubbert, were both arrested by the Fayette County Sheriff ’s Office on Tuesday, Aug. 26 following a Department of Human Resources welfare check that revealed their meth lab operation.

With information provided by an anonymous source, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was able to take three more drug offenders off the street. Mary Joyce Hubbert, age 54, and her daughter Krystal Gillion, age 27, both of 1292 Mt. Pleasant Rd., along with Marcus Branyon, age 20, of 1221 3rd Ave., N.W., were all arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 26 and are currently being held in the Fayette County Jail awaiting arraignment.
Fayette Mayor Ray Nelson was re-elected for another four-year term and the mayors of Berry, Belk and Glen Allen all will stay in office after drawing no opposition in their races.
