Fayette
Incumbent Mayor Ray Nelson has qualified for re-election and has drawn opposition from Mark Whiteside.
For seats on the Fayette City Council, Ward 1 incumbent Linda McCraw is seeking re-election, with Brent Smalley qualifying to run for the slot.
In Ward 2, Mike Hardin will occupy the Council seat as he was the only person to qualify.  Incumbent Waldon Tucker did not qualify to run for re-election.
Ward 3 incumbent Marvin Odom will be seeking another term on the City Council, and has drawn opposition from Ann Hamner.
Ward 4 has three candidates seeking that position.  Incumbent Cedric G. Wilson is seeking another term and is opposed by Rebecca Gilpin Driver and Bill McCollum.
In Ward 5, incumbent David Brand is seeking re-election and has drawn opposition from Mark Duckworth and Jerry M. Nichols.
Berry
In Berry, Mayor Roy Dobbs and all of the five incumbents on the City Council have qualified for re-election, with only one Council seat drawing opposition.  
Place 1 incumbent Jan Magouirk has drawn opposition from Jimmy “Dude” Pendley.
Mayor Dobbs, along with Jimmy Madison (Place 2), Clyde Pendley (Place 3), Georgia Moore (Place 4) and Calvin Madison (Place 5) will all return to their respective slots as no one is opposing them.
Glen Allen
The town of Glen Allen will not have an election, as none of the offices are opposed.
Mayor Allen Dunavant, along with incumbents Robert Aldridge (Place 3), Bobbie McCraw (Place 4) and Willie Rose McClinton (Place 5) will all return to their respective positions and will be joined by Danny Ray Tucker (Place 1) and Gail Bircheat (Place 2).  Place 1 incumbent Andrew Cowan, Jr. and Place 2 incumbent Ronnie Sprinkle did not qualify to run for re-election.
Belk 
Mayor Ronald Waldrop will serve another term as he drew no opposition.
On the Town Council, Place 1 incumbent Joyce Ellison did not qualify for re-election, so  Karen Strickland will occupy the Place 1 seat.
Incumbent Guy Stough will serve another term for Place 2.  
Place 3 incumbent Barbara Waldrop has qualified for re-election and has drawn opposition from Amy Fowler.  
Place 4 incumbent Jeannie Hollingsworth has qualified for re-election, with Ruth Buckner also qualifying to run for that position.
Place 5 incumbent Chester Moore will return to that position.
Elections in Fayette, Berry and Belk are slated for Tuesday, August 26 with polls opening at 7 a.m. and remaining open until 7 p.m.
Should a runoff election be required in Fayette for either of the two Council seats with three candidates, it will be held Oct. 7.
